Applied Behavioural Scientist
Mumbai - Permanent
We're looking for an Applied Behavioural Scientist to be the driving force behind our psychology-first marketing approach. You'll take frameworks like Cialdini's principles of influence, the Transtheoretical Model, and the 17 psychological triggers that drive purchasing decisions and turn them into campaigns that measurably outperform.
This isn't a research-only role. You'll work directly with creative, strategy, and client teams to ensure every piece of work we produce is grounded in how humans actually think, decide, and buy.
What You Will Be Doing
Strategic Impact
Translate behavioural science principles into practical frameworks that the entire team can apply to their work
Review campaigns and creative work through a behavioural lens before client delivery
Develop proprietary methodologies that become No Fluff's competitive advantage
Lead client workshops on consumer psychology and decision-making
Build a library of evidence-based persuasion techniques tailored to different industries and funnel stages
Daily Excellence
Audit client communications for psychological effectiveness and conversion potential
Train team members on applying specific triggers (scarcity, social proof, authority, etc.) to their work
Collaborate with copywriters and designers to embed behavioural principles into creative execution
Analyse campaign performance through a behavioural science lens—why did it work (or not)?
Stay current with academic research in behavioural economics, cognitive psychology, and decision science
Document case studies that demonstrate the ROI of psychology-driven marketing
What We Are Looking For
Essential Experience
Formal background in psychology, behavioural economics, cognitive science, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
2-4 years applying behavioural principles in a commercial context (marketing, UX, product, consulting)
Deep familiarity with foundational texts: Cialdini's work, Kahneman, Thaler & Sunstein, and applied marketing psychology (Cashvertising, etc.)
Experience designing or analysing A/B tests and experiments
Track record of translating academic concepts into actionable business recommendations
The Right Mindset
Equally comfortable reading academic papers and presenting to clients
Obsessed with understanding why people do what they do
Pragmatic—you care about results, not just theory
Strong communicator who can make complex concepts accessible to non-scientists
Curious and constantly learning—behavioural science is always evolving
Due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond to every candidate individually. We genuinely appreciate the time and effort you took to apply to join our team. If your profile aligns with our needs, we'll be in touch.
